In April of 2022, the Department of the Navy changed the name of Navy Operational Support Center - Harlingen to the new official name of Navy Reserve Center - Harlingen (NRC Harlingen).

"Fair Winds and Following Seas" to outgoing skipper LCDR Thomas Wright and congratulations on a very successful CO tour. The Change of Command for LCDR Wright and LT Perez was held on 11 September 2021.

The Kingsville Navy League is honored to support the personnel and their families attached to NRC Harlingen (as one of our five adopted sea service units, adopted in March2015). Our support activity relating to NRC Harlingen is primarily in the form of recognizing Sailors of the Year and Sailors of the Quarter with a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift card. The Kingsville Navy League also sponsors their end-of-year celebration. In 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, the celebration was limited to a drive-by stuffed-stocking give-away by Santa and his helpers.
