The Kingsville Council is one of over two hundred councils throughout the world associated with the Navy League of the United States (NLUS Website). Our mission is to serve the men and women (and their families) of our U.S. Sea Services - Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and U.S.-flagged Merchant Marine. The Navy League of the United States was founded in 1902 with the encouragement of President Theodore Roosevelt. The Kingsville Council was organized in 1955 and received its Charter in January of 1956.

The Kingsville Council of the Navy League is a civilian, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization comprised of over 80 local residents, some with military backgrounds and some without. The Kingsville Council has adopted five local Sea Service units for our targeted support: Naval Air Station (NAS) Kingsville, Training Air Wing TWO, Training Squadron TWO ONE (VT-21), Training Squadron TWO TWO (VT-22), and Donna ISD Marine Corps JROTC Program. Sadly, our other adopted unit, Navy Reserve Center (NRC) Harlingen, was disestablished in early 2023. Click HERE for more information on our five adopted units.

With great anticipation and enthusiasm, the Kingsville Navy League is looking forward to the opportunity to adopt the crew, and their families, of the future USS Kingsville (LCS 36). The adoption, with approval of the ship's Commanding Officer, is estimated to take place in the Spring/Summer of 2024, hopefully to coincide with the ship's commissioning. For more information on the future USS Kingsville, click HERE to navigate to our USS Kingsville page or click HERE to visit the homepage of the USS Kingsviille Commissioning Committee website.

The primary goal of the Kingsville Council is to improve the quality-of-life of the personnel and their families attached to our five adopted units. This goal is primarily achieved by the Kingsville Council recognizing outstanding achievement through presentation of awards, hosting social events, and providing financial support to many successful programs and events, some of which are listed below.
