The Commanding Officer of NAS Kingsville is CAPT Eric Bromley and the Executive Officer is CDR Michael "NO-OPP" Coppock. The NAS Kingsville's Command Master Chief is Joe D. Lovelace, CMDCM. The Kingsville Navy League is honored to support the personnel and their families attached to NAS Kingsville as one of our five adopted sea service units.

Naval Air Station Kingsville is one of the Navy’s premier locations for jet/strike aviation training. NAS Kingville's primary mission is to provided the facilities and support so that Training Air Wing TWO can successfully train tactical/strike pilots for the United States Navy and Marine Corps.

The field at Kingsville opened as NAAS July 4, 1942, as a training site for fighter/bomber tactics. The base was inactive between 1946 and 1951. It became an all jet training base in 1960, and was designated NAS in 1968.

As one of our five adopted units, one of the ways the personnel and their familes of NAS Kingsville are supported by the Kingsville Navy League is by recognition as Sailor of the Quarter and Sailor of the Year. Each recipient is awarded a Certificate of Appreciation and are given a gift card. Congratulations to all of the recipients for a job well done!
